Son Udra

A new era has begun - one that has brought artist Chris Brumbaugh, the writer behind Son Udra, to St. Louis.  The long drive from California with all his worldly possessions crammed in the back of his car seems to have been a move in a forward direction for the artist.  “If the music scene is anything like the people of this wonderful city, I’m sure I’ll do just fine...”

And how is that?

Self-taught musician Chris Brumbaugh makes music that people like. Focusing  on numerous different genres, he creates music that is simple but music that is still able to capture the attention of his audience. He accomplishes this with interesting chord progressions, poignant lyrics, and breaks of musical interludes that allow the music to speak for itself.

Says Brumbaugh of his music, “Emotion and feeling should not only be expressed in the form of lyrics, but should be backed up with music that accentuates and expands on the words. If you can’t feel the song you’re listening to, then what’s the point of listening to it?”

It is clear that there is substance, experience, and emotion behind every song. A full-length album is forthcoming and should be released within the next year, an album which is highly anticipated by many.  For the time being, you can find the first EP on iTunes here as well as on Amazon here.

Reviews of Progressions EP

Music I can listen to over and over again.  Can’t wait for him to come out with more.  Fabulous! (Illinois)

Love the music, love the lyrics!  I bought 3 songs and had to come back and get the rest!  Can’t wait for the next album! (California)

Chris is my big brother - so of course I had to buy the album.  We are family and I have no problem being honest about his music.  I love it!  Keep it coming! (South Carolina)

Phenomenal!  Where’s this music been my whole life? (Minnesota)

A friend told me to buy the album because she knows the artist; and I have to say, it’s excellent all the way through.
